“I swear by the moon and the stars in the sky”. That line always gives me the chills. And that’s the start of the song, “I Swear” by All 4 One.

All 4 One is an American Male Pop / R&B Group comprising of Jamie Jones, Delious Kennedy, Alfred Nevarez, and Tony Borowiak. The group debuted in 1993 with the song, “So Much In Love”, an acapella (won the Favourite New Artist Soul / Rhythm and Blues at the American Music Awards - AMA), which reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier in the year.

Avatar - The Sequel

Avatar fans out there, this should interest you, if you didn’t already know.

James Cameron (the brain behind Avatar) has announced that the Avatar Sequels will now be Four (4) as against Three (3) which was the initial plan.

He’s quoted as saying, “We have decided to embark on a truly massive cinematic process”. According to Yahoo, Cameron said as he was planning the three sequels, he found it limiting. “We began to bump up against the limitations for our art form,” he said, explaining that he decided he would need more sequels to tell the whole story.

He also states that each of the four sequels will be able to stand alone, but will together create a saga. His hopes to release Avatar 2 at Christmas 2018 and the a new film in 2020, 2021 and 2022 (Highly ambitious but welcoming).

“I’ve been working the last couple of years with a team of four top screenwriters,” he said, “to design the world of Avatar going forward: The characters, the creatures, the environment, and the new cultures.”

“So far, the art I’m seeing is in pure imagination, really far beyond the first film,” he said. “It’s going to be a true epic saga.”

The first Avatar movie in 2009 earned $2.8 billion worldwide.

Kissing During A Robbery

A couple were having the time of their life at a bar (kissing and smooching) and were completely oblivious to the fact that the very bar they were at was getting robbed. Three masked individuals armed with guns walked into a bar in Montana and proceeded to clearing out the cash register at around 1am according to several reports. All this went down a few inches away from the Kissing Pair. One of the robbers even came extremely close to the pair. Not only didn’t they notice the masked robber, the robber didn’t disrupt their erotic moment, in fact none of the three robbers interfered with the couple's session.

It was only after the robbers were done and were heading out of the bar that the pair realized what was going down.

The proverbial saying, “Love Is Blind” or that make out period was one from the cosmos or maybe it’s a Guinness World Record Event but it sure was epic and not even a robbery at gun point could deter these guys from achieving their mission of publicly professing their undying love for each other.

On the bright side (besides the couple), no one was hurt

FOCUS - Shane Filan

I’m pretty sure not everyone will recognize the name when its stands alone. And I can say it will be the same result even when the names Markus Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden are included…. Well, these five names represent the original members of the now disbanded group "Westlife".

Shane Filan was the lead singer of the group. In 2012, after fourteen (14) successful years together, the group disbanded. Shane has since gone on to launch a solo career.

On August 23^rd 2013, having signed a record deal with London Records (a part of Universal Music Entertainment Group), Shane released his first single titled, “Everything To Me” in Ireland and two days later (25^th August), the single was released worldwide, which was part of an EP that contained three other songs;

The full album was released in November 2013, with the second solo track of the album, “About You” released earlier (10^th September 2013).

Plane Lands In Saudi Arabia By An All Female Crew

The Ladies are taking over. Oh Yeah!!!!!! So, while surfing the web earlier today, i came across this fascinating report and thought to share.

A flight crew comprising of only females, landed a plane for Royal Brunei Airline in Saudi Arabia. The flight originated from Brunei and was heading to Jeddah.

To mark Brunei’s National Day, which celebrates the country’s independence, Captain Sharifah Czarena Surainy Syed Hashim, Senior First Officer Dk Nadiah Pg Khashiem and Senior First Officer Sariana Nordin flew flight BI081, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, to the Middle Eastern country on 23 February. The occasion came just over three years after Captain Czarena became the first female captain of a flag carrier in Southeast Asia. She told The Brunei Times in 2012: “Being a pilot, people normally see it as being a male dominant occupation. As a woman, a Bruneian woman, it is such a great achievement. It’s really showing the younger generation or the girls especially that whatever they dream of, they can achieve it,” said the captain, who completed her initial pilot training at the Cabair Flying School in Cranfield (INDEPENDENT NEWS).

What's even more astonishing is that although this can be considered (and it should be) a milestone for the airline, women are still not eligible to drive in Saudi Arabia. So the female crew will need to be driven out of the airport by a man. 

They can fly a plane but can't drive a car.

Although there is no law that prohibits women from driving, it is a rule imposed by conservative Muslim clerics (INDEPENDENT NEWS).

Last year, women were allowed to stand in elections for the first time in Saudi, and they were able to vote (THE TELEGRAPH).

All female crews are becoming more common as more women train to be pilots – several international airlines were able to operate long-haul flights staffed by female pilots to coincide with Women of Aviation Worldwide Week (March 7 – 13). Although there’s still a long way to go. Estimates from the International Society of Women Airline Pilots (ISA) last year suggested there are about 4,000 women pilots worldwide, out of around 130,000, which is just over three percent (METRO).

Discrimination / Racial Profiling

Why the Discrimination / Racial Profiling? It's really not a nice sight to behold, regardless of who's involved or the logic behind it. It's just SAD..... Simple.

Reports indicate that a man from London by the name of Meghary Yemane-Tesfagiorgis boarded an EasyJet flight heading to London from Fiumicino airport in Rome. Just before the plane was to take off, he was informed by the captain that he had to vacate the plane. Why? A female passenger had complained that she didn't feel safe with him on the plane. 

REALLY?????!!!!!!

He was then escorted out of the plane by Armed Police Men and detained for Fifteen (15) Hours, and was been questioned by Italian Authorities at the airport's police station.

"After a 20 minute delay the captain explained a technical fault with luggage and informed us that the flight will commence shortly. After a few minutes, cabin crew emerged and asked 'Is there a passenger with the last name of Yemane-Tesfagiorgis on board? 'I replied 'Yes', assuming that it was my luggage that was the issue. I was then asked to come to the front of the cabin where I was greeted by armed police. I was asked to leave the plane by the captain, when asked why, he explained: 'A fellow passenger has stated that she does not feel safe with you on board."

'I was then directed by the police to the airport police station,' he said. 'I was subjected to further questioning and intimidation by the Italian authorities before being left to sit in the airport for further 15 or so hours.' (DailyMail UK)

He went on to say, "I felt violated", he told ITV News London. 'It was racial profiling. If she feels uncomfortable, she should get off the plane". Mr Yemane-Tesfagiorgis says he is seeking legal advice.

A statement has been released by EasyJet stating that, 'EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY5258 from Rome Fiumicino to London Gatwick on 29 March 2016 was delayed due to the police requesting that additional security checks were undertaken before departure.' 'Mr Yemane-Tesfagiorgis was questioned by the authorities as a result of another passenger reporting concerns about his behaviour.

'The safety and security of its passengers and crew is our highest priority and airlines have to take any security-related concerns seriously.

'EasyJet rebooked Mr Yemane-Tesfagiorgis on the next flight from Rome to Gatwick after the authorities confirmed they were satisfied he could travel.'

CR7 is 30 in 6

He keeps breaking records. And he’s doing it consistently and consecutively. On the 9^th of April 2016, during a game that pitched Real Madrid against Eibar, Cristiano Ronaldo (CR7) became the first player in La Liga history to score at least 30 goals in a season for six (6) consecutive seasons, after scoring in the 19^th minute to make the game 3-0 in favour of Real Madrid (the game ended 4-0). 

Since joining Real Madrid in the summer of 2009 after leaving English giants Manchester United, there has been no stopping him. His favorite opponent in La Liga is Sevilla. Why? Well the record books have it that CR7 has scored Twenty (20) against them (more goals scored against Sevilla by any player in La Liga)

 

Some other goal scoring achievements in La Liga include:

1.       30 Hat Tricks against 18 La Liga Clubs with Sevilla receiving the most of it (5 Hat Tricks).

2.      4 Goals in a single game on three separate occasions.

3.      5 Goals in a single game on two separate occasions.

 

 In total, CR7 has scored 256 goals in La Liga for Real Madrid. Who's to say he won't score more? Do i hear 300 La Liga goals before he retires?
